Downtown Business Services
Developers and tenants interested in building or moving downtown can also find assistance through the Downtown Development Authority and Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation. City liaison services including assistance with the permitting process, financial incentives and low interest loans (through DSDC) are available. Information on available properties and development consultation is also offered.

Downtown Mounted Patrol
Funded in part by the Mounted Patrol Support Group, Downtown Shreveport Unlimited and the Downtown Development Authority, the mounted patrol covers downtown with special emphasis on evening riverfront activity.

Downtown Bicycle Patrol
Funded in part by the Downtown Development Authority, the Bicycle patrol covers the entire downtown development district. The bicycle patrol takes officers out of their cars, engendering a more personal, community policing relationship with vendors, merchants and visitors. Bicycle patrol officers are cross-trained on the SPD horses.

SporTran
All routes lead to SporTran's main downtown terminal. Located at 400 Crockett Street, the distinctive terminal canopy houses ticket sales, passes, route information and other transit related services.

ShrevePark Parking Services
The Downtown Development Authority manages the city's on-street parking operation via contract. DDA parking staff is responsible for meter and parking enforcement, meter repair, coinage and fine collection. The DDA also makes recommendations to the mayor regarding parking improvements and policy.

When the City of Shreveport and DDA started this service in January, 2000 the City also created the Downtown Parking Enterprise fund which captures the proceeds of the parking operation. These funds are dedicated exclusively for the provision of parking and parking related services in the Downtown Development District.

Streetscape Maintenance Crew
A seven member clean team that patrols downtown daily. The Streetscape crew is funded by the City of Shreveport and managed by the Downtown Development Authority. Primary responsibilities include hardscape maintenance, litter pick-up, plant maintenance and holiday decorations.
